Press Release: Empowering Community Change: Lancaster County Women For Good Awards $7,100 Grant To Local Non-Profit
LANCASTER, February 19, 2024 – In a display of community solidarity and the power of grassroots philanthropy, Lancaster County Women for Good hosted its much-anticipated Winter Gather & Grant on February 7th at the historic Southern Market in Lancaster. This event is one of the quarterly cornerstones in the group’s commitment to foster collective giving and empower non-profit organizations tirelessly working within the local community.
The highlight of the evening was the grant awarding process, where three deserving non-profit organizations, pre-nominated by the members, presented their missions and visions in hopes of securing a $7,100 grant. The organizations—Gifts That Give Hope Lancaster, Hope Inspire Love, Inc., and Anchor Lancaster—each took the stage to share their stories and answer questions, offering insights into their passionate efforts to make Lancaster a better place.
The evening concluded with Hope Inspire Love, Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering survivors of trafficking through comprehensive trauma-informed mentorship and awareness programs, being named the grant recipient.
